35 years of artistic excellence

From exhibiting art internationally for nearly two decades to acquiring a B.A. from San Francisco State University-School of Art, Richard Herrera brings incredible technical depth and creative vision to every canvas and wall project.

Art rooted in California and connected to the world

For over 30 years, I have shaped the public and private art scene of Sacramento and California, creating vibrant urban landscapes, figurative works, and large-scale murals. Mentored by Dr. Esteban Villa and influenced by Wayne Thiebaud during my studies at San Francisco State University, my practice spans oils, acrylics, watercolors, and 3D sculpture. From exhibiting across Denver, Los Angeles, and Karlsruhe, Germany, to having my Mars mural featured in the Oscar-winning film One Battle after Another, my mission remains simple: to craft art with love and bring people together.
